TO DO

Bear Creek Falls Hike
The Bear Creek Trail is a must-do for those who visit Telluride in summer. The view of Bear Creek Falls is well worth the trek up 1,050 feet in elevation. The beautiful and well-marked wooded trail ends in a magnificent set of waterfalls and an unbeatable view of the town of Telluride.

Cornet Creek Falls
The Cornet Creek Trail is a short hike with a spectacular finish at the 80-foot Cornet Falls. The hike affords you beautiful views of the Telluride Ski Resort. Note that the hike requires some scrambling on loose soil and rock so wear sturdy shoes. Don't be afraid to explore the view from different sides of the falls!

Jud Wiebe Hike
The Jud Wiebe Trail is a favorite short hike that can be accessed right from town. You will travel through groves of aspen trees, wide open meadows, and see panoramic views of Telluride all the way from Bridal Veil Falls to the Valley Floor.

Fly Fishing the San Miguel River
The San Miguel is Telluride’s local river, a terrific trout stream with more than 20 miles of public access just west from Town. The San Miguel is famous for well-structured trout habitat and fish that love to eat dry flies. In June, the runoff will be coming to an end and dry fly season will be heating up, but conditions vary enormously from year-to-year because the San Miguel is an undammed stream. The Telluride Angler can help get you set up with a guide or rental gear if you need.

TO DRINK

Last Dollar Saloon
"The Buck" is a truly historic dive bar; built in 1899, this quintessentially Coloradan mountain bar still retains its original stamped tin ceiling. While the large, open room isn't exactly cozy, the scuffed hardwood floor, fireplace, surly longtime bartenders, and frequent live music make it a popular happy hour and late-night stop for locals and visitors alike.

New Sheridan Bar
This historic bar remains much as it was when it originally opened in 1895, maintaining many original appointments like the carved mahogany bar, ornate light fixtures, and mahogany wall-paneling. This is where the old school cowboys played poker and rumor has it a horse will still come into the bar on occasion!
